LIC reduces stake in India Cements Ltd

India-based Life Insurance Corp (LIC) has reduced its stake in India Cements Ltd from 5.87 per cent to 3.83 per cent. The reduction has taken place between November 2017 and July 2023. LIC now holds 11.9m shares in the cement producer.  India Cements currently runs eight integrated plants and two grinding units across India, with a total cement production capacity of around 15.5Mta.   

India Cements doubles 1Q net profit

India Cements Ltd (ICL) reported that net profit for the 1QFY2023 more than doubled to INR760m (US$9.54m) over the year-earlier period. Revenue from operations rose by 41 per cent to INR14,460m and total expenditure increased by 57 per cent to INR152,60m, the company said in a filing. India Cements reports 56% slide in FY17-18 profits

India Cements Ltd reported a 56 per cent fall in net profits for the year ending 31 March 2018. Consolidated net profit decreased to INR707.2m, down from INR1.631bn in the previous financial year. Revenues dropped by seven per cent from INR58.802bn in FY16-17 to INR54.567bn one year later. FLSmidth has signed a contract with the India Cements Ltd (ICL) for a new OK™ 52-4 cement mill  with ROKSH 82 separator for cement grinding to be installed at the Shankar Nagar plant, Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu, India.
